Terms of Use
Last updated October 9, 2026
These terms apply to your use of Kindled, operated by [Company legal name] ("Kindled", "we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you use Kindled for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.
1. What Kindled is
Kindled helps nonprofits, foundations, corporate funders and donors find each other and open conversations. A connection opens only when both sides say yes. Kindled is not a party to any grant, gift or agreement between users, and we do not guarantee that any introduction will lead to funding, a partnership or any other result.
2. Who can use Kindled
Kindled is for adults, 18 and older, acting for themselves or for an organization. You must give accurate information and keep it current. One person belongs to one organization account.
3. Mutual Intent
When you express interest, it stays private. The other side is not told, and cannot see it, unless they independently express interest in you. Only then is a match opened and contact details and profile information shared between the two sides. Either side can close a connection at any time.
4. Verification and review
We check nonprofits against public records, including IRS data, and may show ratings and seals from third parties such as Charity Navigator and Candid. These are provided for information only. They are not an endorsement, a guarantee or advice. We review funder accounts before they can take part. We may decline, suspend or remove any account at our discretion, for example if information appears false or the account is misused.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload and write. You allow us to store it and to show it to the people you choose to share it with, as described in the Privacy Policy. Documents you share into a match can be seen and downloaded by the other side while the match is open. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.
6. How to behave
Do not misrepresent who you are or what your organization does. Do not harass, spam or mislead other users. Do not share information about another user outside Kindled without their permission. Do not try to access data that is not yours, interfere with the service, or use it for anything unlawful. Use the "Report a problem" link if something is wrong.
7. Scheduling and calendars
If you connect a calendar, Kindled reads only whether you are free or busy and does not read event titles or details. Calls booked through Kindled are arrangements between the people involved.
8. No professional advice
Nothing on Kindled is legal, financial, tax or investment advice. You are responsible for your own decisions and for following the laws and rules that apply to you.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Kindled available but do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or stop features. We may update these terms. If we make a meaningful change we will ask you to accept them again.
10. Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Kindled is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the actions of other users. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
11. Ending your account
You can stop using Kindled at any time and ask us to delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States. Questions: [contact email]. [Company legal name], [mailing address].
